2020 has been a social disappointment for so many families with events, parties, weddings and all manner of social gatherings having been rescheduled or postponed to future dates. The year itself had been keenly anticipated for some time with it somehow being deemed a “special” number, perhaps because of its symmetry or futuristic aura…. “2020”….many couples opted to wait for its grand arrival before getting married.
Enter Coronavirus Covid-19, which has completely scuppered everyone’s plans along with many of the things that we hold dear in life – primarily being together! Nobody could have predicted how matters would unfold and the disruption 2020 would bring to our lives in the form of Covid-19. However, slowly and cautiously, with consideration to being together as safely as possible, things are starting to turn around in our local communities. Small weddings are underway again, which we are lucky enough to be a part of, and we are also seeing a gradual increase in general small events being planned. With strict limits on numbers of households and distancing, outdoor events and private garden gatherings are all on the rise with safety always at the forefront of everyone’s minds.
Thistle Piping have set out detailed safety policies and guidance for our performers which will allow us to deliver our musical services – namely Piping & Drumming at your events and gatherings. Contact us to find out more about our services and how we will ensure that we can deliver them safely.
With infection rates being somewhat unpredictable and localised restrictions featuring across much of the country, please all stay safe and protect yourself and your loved ones.
